Eco-friendly Building Materials Production Line Design: Green Production Innovation of Solid Waste-Based Bricks
The eco-friendly building materials production line focuses on the utilization of solid waste such as construction waste and industrial slag, transforming it into brick products with practical value. This represents a crucial practice in achieving a circular economy. Its design focuses on innovation in three key areas: raw material pretreatment, molding process, and green production. The goal is to build a highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and low-consumption resource-based production line.
Raw material pretreatment is the starting point for quality assurance. The production line needs to be equipped with efficient crushing, screening, and sorting systems. First, the complex solid waste is crushed. Then, aggregates of different particle sizes are obtained through screening, and lightweight impurities and metals are removed using technologies such as air separation and magnetic separation. Given the low activity of the waste residue, grinding and activation treatment is often required to enhance its reactivity with cementitious materials. This is a key step in producing high-strength bricks.
The molding process embodies the core technology. Unlike the sintering of traditional clay bricks, solid waste-based bricks mainly employ high-pressure static pressing or vibration molding processes. Using a large-tonnage hydraulic brick press or a high-frequency vibratory press, the mixture (solid waste aggregate, cementitious materials, and water) is pressed into shape in a mold, giving the brick blank sufficient initial strength and density. This process eliminates the need for high-temperature firing, significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Green concepts are integrated throughout the entire process design. The production line reduces dust and noise pollution through modular layout and automated control; production water is recyclable; and the curing process employs steam-free curing technology or utilizes industrial waste heat for low-temperature curing, further reducing energy consumption. The final eco-bricks produced combine environmentally friendly properties with satisfactory structural performance, making them suitable for non-load-bearing walls, paving, landscaping, and other projects, truly realizing the transformation of waste into treasure.
